Beware of Desert Moon Periodicals and Invisible Inc.

Stay Free! magazine has been using Desert Moon as a distributor since 1996. Though the company has always been slow to pay its bills, it got so bad in 2004 that we had to stop working with them. Desert Moon owes us several thousands of dollars for the magazines it has sold; its debts go back as long as three years. J.R. Fesperman, formerly of Desert Moon, repeatedly lied to us about the company's finances. Last year, he told us that the owner of Desert Moon had sold the company to him; apparently he is now operating as Invisible Inc. We filed suit against Invisible Inc., which has now conveniently declared bankrupcy. (Hm. Isn't it strange to buy a company and then turn around months later and declare bankrupcy?)

Anyway, I figured I'd post this notice as a warning to anyone considering doing business with these people. It's not clear at this point who owns Invisible Inc. J.R. Fesperman said he had bought Desert Moon himself; an associate at Invisible Inc. said David Riviera owned the company, but the bankrupcy papers say Michael Warren is the sole owner.
