Just in time for the holidays comes this stocking stuffer from Chapel Hill/Carrboro's Evil Wiener. Appropriately, the band has decided to put on the Santa suit and rock out to three Xmas tunes, all EW originals, including a special punk medley. Evil Wiener plays rock-trio power pop, given a boost by the occasional Casio keyboard. As the legendary Quentin Knight said, "Evil Wiener reminds me of a hot dog jumping out of a pack and eating me up." This is the Wiener's second single, and since they released it themselves, it's priced to move. Look for the garish green, white and red cover at better local record stores, and demand it at your next Xmas party. (Lori Lumpkin)
